On September 19, 2022, TCSO received a report from Austin Waldorf School that they received five threatening voicemail messages. The threats were severe enough in nature that the school closed September 19-20, 2022, as a precaution.

 

TCSO immediately began an investigation into the matter and was able to identify the caller as CARLOS LORENZO MICHAELIS, 37 of Kyle, TX. The suspect was located and interviewed. The afternoon of September 21, 2022, a warrant for his arrest was issued.

 

Michaelis was arrested this morning by TCSO Deputies, charged with Terroristic Threat, a Class B Misdemeanor. Bond is set at $3,000.
