TX) - The FBI Violent Crime Task Force needs the public’s help
identifying and locating a suspect dubbed “Big Shades Bandit” who hit a
Southeast Houston bank. Crime Stoppers of
Houston is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads
to the identification and arrest of the robber.
approximately 10:05 a.m. on June 29, 2022, a man walked into a First
Convenience Bank located within a Fiesta at 5600 Mykawa Rd. He went to
an open teller station, handed the teller a
note that demanded cash and threatened her while showing a handgun.
After the teller complied, he left the bank with an undisclosed amount
of money and was seen running to a nearby wooded area.
described “Big Shades Bandit” as a black man in his early 20s,
approximately 5’7” tall, with a medium build. He wore large, black
sunglasses, a blue surgical mask, a gray zip-up
hoodie with the hood up over a black do-rag, black Nike pants with
red/blue stripes down the sides, and white sneakers and gloves.
Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the
identification, charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case.
