Incident Type: Auto-Pedestrian Fatality Accident / Hit-and-Run

LMPD Case # 19-01628

 

On Saturday, July 27, 2019, at approximately 02:08 am, the La Marque Police Department was dispatched to the 2300 block of FM 1765 regarding a male subject lying unresponsive in the roadway. It was determined that the victim was struck by a motor vehicle, which then fled the scene of the accident. It is believed that the actor vehicle was a silver in color dually pickup with possible front-end damage. The victim was later identified as Jarret Dawsey, a resident of La Marque, who later died as a result of his injuries.
