PHILIP CASH
Constable Precinct #1
Montgomery County
936-539-7821

Media Advisory
For Immediate Release
September 2, 2021

Each year, Lake Conroe suffers boating incidents and tragedies that could have been prevented if it weren't for the presence of drugs & alcohol and if people simply used the proper safety equipment. Constable Cash says, “Our office is committed to ensure that everyone who visits Lake Conroe, is able to enjoy their time with family and friends safely”.
The Precinct 1 Constable’s office is joining with our area Law Enforcement Partners to do our part in keeping the boating public safe, while they enjoy Lake Conroe. Constable Cash recommends that if you are on the water, designate a Captain, just like a designated driver in an automobile, a designated Captain ensures safe operation of the vessel and makes sure everyone on board is safe.
Everyone is reminded that Labor Day has been designated as a “No Refusal Holiday Weekend” by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and their team will be stationed at the Precinct 1 Lake Office to assist deputies in obtaining search warrants for blood draws. The same alcohol intoxication levels (0.08%) apply whether you are operating a boat or a motor vehicle.
Constable Cash and the Precinct 1 Team, wishes everyone to have a safe Labor Day Weekend. “Be sensible, be safe, and always wear a Life Jacket in or around the water”
