Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2801 Almeda Genoa Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2801 Almeda Genoa Road about 2:45 a.m. today (October 17).  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer K. Hines reported:  

The victim was driving a gold Ford Crown Victoria at a high rate of speed westbound on Almeda Genoa when he lost control of the vehicle.  The vehicle went off the roadway and into a ditch.  The victim, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.  

No other vehicles were involved in this crash.
