Lansing, MI - A suspect wanted in connection with a 2016 double homicide in Tom Green County, Texas, was arrested by a joint law enforcement fugitive task force Thursday afternoon in Lansing, Michigan. The suspect, Raymond Alvarado Jr., 28, is charged with capital murder of multiple persons.

Alvarado is accused offatally shooting of two men in San Angelo, Texas, on Sept. 12. Three other persons were arrested in San Angelo and charged in the deaths the day after the shootings.

The U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, San Angelo Division, began assisting the San Angelo Police Department in the investigation in late October. The Lansing Area Fugitive Task Force is comprised of state troopers and officers from the Michigan State Police 1st District1 the Michigan Department of Corrections, U.S. Marshals, Ingham County Sheriff's Department, and the Michigan State University Police Department.
