On January 9, 2019, at 4:39 P.M., a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to a residence in the 16200 block of Lobo Lane in reference to an unknown suspect captured on video surveillance breaking in.  
The deputy arrived at 4:41 P.M., and observed the suspect attempting to flee the residence. The Constable Deputy gave him several verbal commands to stop but the suspect continued to flee. As the deputy pursued him, the suspect turned towards the deputy and pointed a handgun at him.
The deputy quickly fired his weapon first, and shot the suspect.  
Medical personnel transported the suspect, identified as Jacques Dunn to a local hospital in critical condition.   
"A quick response by the Constable Deputy patrolling his assigned area resulted in the arrest of Jacques Dunn, who was responsible for forcibly entering the home and stealing property.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office has accepted the charges of Burglary to a Habitation and Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer. He received No Bond out of the 176th District Court." - Constable Mark Herman
