On February 2, 1986, the body of an unknown female (Jane Doe) was discovered in the oil fields located at the end of Calder Rd in League City, Texas.
On September 8, 1991, the skeletal remains of an unknown female (Janet Doe) were discovered in the same oil field area of Calder Rd.
Janet Doe was the fourth female body found in this area in 7 years. Certain media outlets have labeled these crimes as “The Calder Road Murders” or “The Killing Fields.”
The original investigations into these deaths failed to identify the remains of Jane Doe and Janet Doe or yield a suspect.
Over the past three decades, attempts to identify Jane Doe and Janet Doe have been unsuccessful.
Using genetic genealogy, League Police Detectives have identified Jane and Janet Doe and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
League City Police Department will be holding a press conference to reveal the identities of Jane and Janet Doe and discuss these cases at 10:30 am on Monday, April 15, 2019, at the League City Police Department Public Safety Building.
