HOUSTON — Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Texas City is hosting a ceremony in memoriam of Senior Chief Petty Officer James Pavini and Chief Petty Officer Charles Blome Jr. in Texas City, Texas, Friday.

WHO: The Coast Guard Enlisted Petty Officers Association, Chief Petty Officers Association, the Chief Warrant Officers Association, and the Officers Wardroom will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the memoriam by placing a plaque at the unit in honor of Pavini's and Blome's ultimate sacrifice.

WHAT: 25th anniversary memoriam ceremony for Senior Chief Petty Officer James Pavini and Chief Petty Officer Charles Blome Jr.

WHEN: Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

WHERE: 3101 FM 2004
                Texas City, TX 77591

In 1994, Pavini and Blome lost their lives in the line of duty in a helicopter crash while flying offshore to conduct a vessel exam.
