WACO, Texas (KWTX) McLennan County's sheriff is speaking out after a former Marine who grew up in his county was murdered in New Mexico.
"This is just a horrible, terrible thing to happen, it just
makes me sick" said Sheriff Parnell McNamara. "That was a good person,
served his country with dignity."
Matthew Gurule, 32, was a decorated Marine who
served four tours overseas--including two in Iraq and one in
Afghanistan--after he joined the Marie Corps in Waco in 2005.
It wasn't enemies abroad that killed him, however: it was ones at home.
