Paris Police stopped a pedestrian in the 200 block of NW 17th St at 3:21 A.M. on August 27, 2019 and tried to identify her. The subject was found to have given the officer a wrong name and then was identified as 37 year old Amanda Lynn McBride, of Paris. McBride was found to have an outstanding bond surrender warrant. McBride fled from the officer and was apprehended after a short footchase. She was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. She was charged with evading arrest, possessionof a controlled substance and failing to identify as a fugitive. She was later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
 
During an investigation on August 27, 2019, Paris Police Detectives made contact with three persons in a hotel room in the 3700 block of NE Loop 286 at 10:59 A.M.. Detectives  found that the three were in possession of numerous baggies of synthetic marijuana and numerous baggies of marijuana. Arrested were Ester Franco, 34, Maribel Castillo Franco, 17, and Kenneth Wayne Rogers, 59, all of Paris. They were charged with manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance of more than 4 grams but less than 400 grams and possession of marijuana. Ester Franco and Rogers were also found to have outstanding warrants. All three were later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
 
40 year old Corinthian Antwan Sims, of Paris, was arrested in the 600 block of SE 6th St at 3:55 P.M. on August 27, 2019 on a parole violation warrant. He was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
 
Just after midnight on August 28, 2019, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of NE 3rd St for having a defective headlamp. The driver, Undrayl Onshaun Finch, 42, of Paris was found to be in possession of marijuana and had two outstanding traffic warrants. Finch  was arrested. Upon entering the jail, Finch was found to be in possession of more marijuana. He was subsequently charged with possession of a prohibited substance in a correctional facility. He is awaiting transfer to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 84 calls for service and arrested 6 persons on August 27,
2019.
