Paris Police responded to a burglary of a business in the 5000 block of SE Loop 286 at 6:58 A.M. on September 10, 2019. It was reported that someone had cut a lock of a roll up door and made entry. The investigation continues.
 
Paris Police responded to a burglary of a residence in the 1000 block of SE 5th St at 2:23 P.M. on September 10, 2019. It was reported that someone forced the back door open and stole three handguns and some cash. The incident is under investigation.
 
At 7:49 P.M. on September 10, 2019, Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 400 block of W Shiloh St. Officers were not able to make contact with anyone inside the residence and called the owner. The owner arrived and allowed officers inside. Once inside, officers located several juveniles. All denied firing a pistol that was found hidden inside the residence. The incident is under investigation.
 
Christopher Joe Lassetter, 40, of Paris, was arrested in the 2300 block of N Main St at 23:11 P.M. on September 10, 2019. Officers responded to a reckless driver and located the vehicle in a parking lot. Lassetter was found to be asleep behind the steering wheel with the vehicle was still in drive. Lassetter was found to be intoxicated and arrested. It was later found that Lassetter has had at least three convictions for driving while intoxicated in the past, so therefore, this charge was enhanced to a felony. Lassetter was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
 
Paris Police responded to 99 calls for service and arrested 5 persons on September 10, 2019.
