FREE Mobile Food Distribution
Various groups are providing mobile food distribution.
Galveston County Food Bank
The League City Rotary Club, in partnership with the Galveston County Food Bank, will be hosting a FREE, drive-thru, mobile food distribution this Friday, March 20 at Hometown Heroes Park . Distribution will start at 1 p.m. and last until 3 p.m., or until the truck has been emptied. Each car will receive an assortment of food regardless of the number of families represented in the vehicle. A patron in each car will need to present valid identification as part of the usual registration process for mobile food distribution. All patrons must stay in their vehicles. Food will be placed in the trunk or bed of the vehicle by volunteers. If you or a group are interested in volunteering, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Galveston County Food Bank is also preparing, should the need arise, to serve the League City community by providing drop off service to individuals who are being quarantined. Once this project goes into full swing, the Food Bank will be needing volunteers to assist. If any party is interested in volunteering please contact Chantea Palmer at 409-945-4232.
