Paris Police responded to a burglary of a residence in the 300 block of Stone Ave at 1:34 P.M. on October 30, 2019. It was reported that the victim had returned home to find that someone had broken the knob off of the front door to gain entry. The victim reported that a television and a bluetooth speaker were missing. The incident is under investigation.
At 12:33 A.M. on October 31, 2019, Paris Police responded to a suspicious activity call in the 1500 block of Lamar Ave. Upon their arrival, Officers observed two people sitting inside a vehicle. The occupants appeared to be hiding something out of view of the officers. The occupants of the vehicle refused to open the doors and cooperate during the investigation. The officers then forced their way inside the vehicle to keep evidence from being destroyed and detained 19 year old Trevor Payne Bratcher and 17 year old Autumn Hope Rose, both of Paris. Officers located a syringe that contained methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia. Bratcher was arrested and charged with possessionof a controlled substance, tampering with evidence and resisting arrest. Rose was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence and resisting arrest. Both were later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to 84 calls for service, and arrested 6 persons on October 30, 2019.

At 9:38 A.M. on October 29, 2019, Paris Police responded to a fraud in the 2100 block of Church St. It was reported that an employee had used a company credit card to make personal purchases. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to another fraud call in the 300 block of Lamar Ave at 1:54 P.M. on October 29, 2019. It was reported that someone had used the victim’s account to make on-line payments. The fraud took more than $3000 out of the victim’s account. The investigation continues.
Another fraud was reported to Paris Police Deprtment at 3:02 P.M. on October 29, 2019. The victim advised that back in June, their business was contacted by telephone to participate in a school fund raiser to help support the athletic program. The unknown company drafted the amount out of the business account. Since that time, there have been at least three other withdrawls from the account totaling $897.00 without the victim’s consent. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police arrested 72 year old Martin Ray Vaught, of Paris, in the 800 block of NE 12th St at 7:41 P.M. on October 29, 2019. Vaught was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Red River County Sheriff’s Office charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Vaught was later transferred to the Lamar County jail.
26 year old Cassandra Leigh Walker, of paris, was arrested in the 600 block of Bonham St at 11:21 A.M. on October 29, 2019. Officers were dispatched to a theft at that location and found the suspect, Walker, to have an outstanding felony warrant charging her with credit or debit card abuse. The charge stemmed from a report in August where Walker had used the card in the 1900 block of Lamar Ave. She was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
