Walter Ray Johnson, 41, of Pearland, was charged with Burglary of a Habitation for the forcible burglary of an apartment on August 9^th at the Bellevue Apartments located at 17231 Blackhawk Blvd.
 
Johnson was recently arrested on a burglary warrant on September 23^rd; that charge was the result of another burglary at the Bellevue Apartments on September 14^th. At the time of his September 23^rd arrest, a search warrant was executed at his Pearland home.  During the search warrant, officers seized stolen property.
 
A rifle scope and duffle bag seized during the search warrant belonged to the victim of the August 9^th Bellevue Apartments burglary. This gave investigators additional evidence to obtain another warrant charging Johnson with burglary. The warrant was issued in Harris County on October 4^th. Then, on October 6^th, Johnson came to the police department thinking he was picking up his cell phone. Instead, he was arrested in the police department lobby and taken to jail.

Burglary

 
Oct. 5 (2:17 p.m.) A vehicle burglary was reported in the 1900 block of Plantation Drive.  The suspect broke into two locked aluminum tool boxes in the bed of a work truck.  The theft occurred sometime between October 4^th at 6:00 p.m. and October 5^th at 8:00 a.m. the suspect drilled a hole next to the locking mechanism and stole various tools including volt and test meters, wrenches, sockets, a vacuum pump and power tools.

Theft

 
Oct. 4 (1:35 p.m.) A theft was reported at a home under construction in the 1900 block of Silver Point Court. The site received a delivery of windows on September 27^th.  On October 4^th, the builder discovered that 12 of the windows were missing.  Another site in the 1900 block of Silver Point Court was check and 8 windows were missing from that site as well.
 
Oct. 5 (12:42 p.m.) A theft of a bicycle was reported at the Friendswood Junior High School located at 1000 Manison Parkway.  A mother reported the bicycle stolen to school officials. School surveillance cameras showed the bicycle being used by another Friendswood Junior High School student. That student was called into the office and told school officials that he hid the bicycle in some bushes. The school resource officer located the bicycle in bushes at the corner of Brighton Park Lane and Cactus Ride Court. The mother declined to prosecute, but the child was given school discipline, according to the report.
 
Oct. 7 (1:05 p.m.) An Amazon driver was caught stealing a check intended for a lawn crew from the front door of a home in the 1000 block of Point Isabel Lane. The homeowner provided camera surveillance footage of the theft and the suspect.
 
Oct. 7 (2:56 p.m.) An 82-year old customer left her checkbook on the counter of the customer service desk at Kroger located at 151 N. Friendswood Drive. She got to her vehicle when she realized that she left the checkbook behind, returned to the store and it was gone.  
 
Oct. 8 (2:06 p.m.) A bicycle theft was reported at the Huntington Woods Apartments located at 701 S. Friendswood Drive. The bicycle is a 10-speed, dark green Electra with tan seats and has tan wheels.
 
Oct. 8 (4:29 p.m.) A truck was stolen from in front of Friends Pub located at 2407 W. Parkwood Avenue. The victim told police that he loaned his vehicle to his nephew on October 2^nd.  The nephew was with a man who the victim believes now has the truck and wanted to report the truck as stolen.  The suspect has a warrant for vehicle theft in Georgia. The stolen vehicle is described as a maroon 2010 Ford F150, Texas License Plate LZV9187.
 
Oct. 9 (11:06 a.m.) A Friendswood resident lost their iPhone at a restaurant in the 500 block of S. Friendswood Drive. Two days later, he was able to track the phone to a residence in Manvel. Brazoria County was unable to recover the phone.

Fraud

 
Oct. 5 (11:10 a.m.) Friendswood Police have taken multiple reports of theft and insurance fraud associated with an RV mechanic who runs a business out of his home located at 203 Castlelake Drive. Eight of those reports have been combined to file an aggregated theft charge against the owner of the business.
 
Oct. 5 (11:38 a.m.) A charity fund overseen by a Friendswood resident was victimized by wire fraud. The caretaker for the account received a text message alert requesting authorization on a payment.  She immediately contacted the bank and confirmed the charge was not authorized. Further investigation showed more than 100 fraudulent charges. One of the names associated with the fraudulent charges was identified as a former housekeeper of the fund’s caretaker. A suspect in this theft has been named.
 
Oct. 5 (12:19 p.m.) A Friendswood woman received a call from a bank advising that a fraud alert placed on her account credit card. However, she did not have an account with that particular bank.  Through further inquiry, she learned that her personal identifying information and her old address were used to open a credit card in August 2021. She checked her credit report and found a second fraudulent account.
 
Oct. 5 (12:21 p.m.) A Friendswood woman reports that a utility account was opened with First Choice Power using her maiden name. The address where the service was connect is located in Houston.
 
Oct. 5 (2:22 p.m.) A Friendswood resident reports that a utility account was opened using his personal identifiers and without his permission.
 
Oct. 5 (3:55 p.m.) A development company in the 100 block of N. Friendswood Drive reported fraudulent charges in the form of fraudulent checks against the business account. The unauthorized charges began on September 29^th and ended on October 2^nd. They did recently have an employee leave the company.
 
Oct. 5 (4:13 p.m.) A resident in the 1700 block of Waterfall Drive had visitors at her residence on October 4^th.  She left them alone in her home briefly.  Now, she is receiving text messages from her credit card companies for unauthorized charges.  She believes her unsupervised guest are the suspects.
 
Oct. 6 (8:35 a.m.) A Friendswood man was recently laid-off from his job and was advised to file for unemployment benefits. He filed the appropriate application with the Texas Workforce Commission and discovered that someone had already filed for benefits using his personal identifying information.
 
Oct. 6 (9:45 a.m.) A Friendswood woman received an invoice from the Corpus Christi Fire Department for ambulance service on August 4^th.  The woman did not receive ambulance service and has not been to Corpus Christi. When she called the Corpus Christi Fire Department she discovered that a female, using her personal identifiers, was transported to a hospital for stomach pains.
 
Oct. 6 (12:01 p.m.) A Friendswood woman applied for a loan online. She received a deposit into her account but it was not for the total amount of the loan. She was instructed to return the money so that it would appear that she paid off the loan and help her credit score. The woman made the payment to the loan company using gift cards and was later told by her bank that the deposit into her bank account was made with a fraudulent check.
 
Oct. 6 (1:08 p.m.) An attempted fraud was reported at the Regions Bank located at 306 E. Parkwood Avenue. A female in a newer model black Infinity sedan attempted to make a large withdrawal with a stolen driver’s license and stolen debit card. The theft occurred on September 29^th at a daycare center in Spring and is being investigated by Harris County Precinct 4 constables.
 
Oct. 6 (4:25 p.m.) A Friendswood man received a call from a debt collector regarding an outstanding debt with PayPal.  The man did not have a PayPal account so he quickly ended the phone call.  He investigated further but calling PayPal and found there were two account that matched his social security number that were sent to collections.
 
Oct. 6 (6:06 p.m.) A Friendswood man listed his laptop for sale on Facebook Marketplace.  He was contacted by a buyer who agreed to purchase the laptop. The buyer mailed him a check and the man mailed out the laptop to an address in Tennessee. The man deposited the check into his account and later found out the check was fraudulent.
 
Oct. 7 (4:22 p.m.) A Friendswood man reported that someone made two wire transfers from his bank account on October 6^th. He received text messages from his bank confirming the transactions. As soon as he texted back “NO”, the transactions were declined.
 
Oct. 8 (2:42 a.m.) Damon Edward Miller, 43, of Pearland, was charged with Credit Card Abuse. Miller was stopped for expired registration in the 1600 block of S. Friendswood Drive. Miller did not have a driver’s license; instead, presented a Texas ID card.  He had an active arrest warrant in Pearland for Theft.  As he exited the vehicle, he removed several credit cards from his pocket and placed them on the driver’s seat. The officer searched the vehicle and found methamphetamine, three credit cards that did not have Miller’s name on them, and several gift cards. The officer was able to contact one of the people named on the credit cards and learned that the credit card was stolen and that Miller did not have permission to possession the credit card.

Assault

 
Oct. 6 (6:58 p.m.) Ronnie Davis Holmes, 40, of Friendswood, was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury-Family Violence. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend at a vacant property in the 3200 block of W. Parkwood Avenue.
 
Oct. 10 (2:52 a.m.) Tavish Shane Worden, 45, of Friendswood, was charged with Assault by Contact. He is accused of assaulting his uncle at a residence in the 16900 block of Worden Lane.

Narcotics

 
Oct. 5 (12:59 a.m.) Kevin Leslie Smith, 30, of Angleton, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Smith was stopped for speeding in the 2800 block of W. Bay Area Blvd. During the interview, the officer asked to search Smith’s vehicle; he refused. A police K-9 arrived and gave a positive alert for the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. A search was conducted and a pipe containing methamphetamine residue was found.
 
Oct. 8 (1:09 a.m.) Anthony Michael Martinez, 33, of Texas City, was stopped for a traffic violation in the 4800 block of FM 2351.  During the contact, the officer detected the smell of marijuana.  Once another police unite arrived, Martinez and his passengers were asked to exit the vehicle. A search was conducted and the officer found marijuana, synthetic urine and methamphetamine residue.  One passenger, Randall Corey Borden, 45, of Friendswood, and Jessica Lynn Picazo, 31, of Houston, were found in possession of methamphetamine and were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1.   Martinez was charged with Falsification of Drug Test Results. 
 
Oct. 8 (10:44 p.m.) Le’Mont Chavelle Garrison-Paschall, 32, of Kansas City, MO, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1. Garrison-Paschall was stopped for speeding in the 900 block of S. Friendswood Drive. He was unable to produce a driver’s license or proof of insurance. He had a copy of the rental agreement for his vehicle that expired.  Garrison-Paschall’s driver’s license was suspended. A search of his vehicle uncovered methamphetamine, syringes, heroin, a tourniquet, credit cards and a checkbook with other persons names on them.
 
Oct. 9 (10:15 a.m.) Eli Akin, 49, of Galveston, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1. Akin was stopped for a temporary license plate violation in the 1000 block of S. Friendswood Drive. Akin advised the officer that he may have marijuana in his vehicle because a female gave it to him.  The officer conducted a search and found methamphetamine.
 
Oct. 10 (3:41 p.m.) Valentino Everette Nino, 31, of Katy, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Nino was driving with an expired temporary tag in the 2800 block of Crescent Drive. Nino did not have a driver’s license or insurance.  But, he did tell the officer that he had a small amount of marijuana in the driver’s side door. The passenger, Jesus Carlos Nino, 28, of Katy, had an outstanding warrant and had a meth pipe in his pocket.
 
Oct. 11 (9:01 a.m.) Roy Lee Weeks, Jr., 53, of New Caney, was charged with Expired Driver’s License, No Insurance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was stopped for expired registration in the 1700 block of FM 528.  Weeks and his two passengers appeared to be very nervous. Weeks had an outstanding warrant out of state and his driver’s license expired in 2009. One of the passengers advised that she did have a driver’s license. Lisi Lynne Lokey-Goodman, 53, of Houston, had an expired driver’s license and two warrants in Pasadena and Webster.  The backseat passenger, John Dante Lopez, 41, of Houston, had a warrant in Baytown. All three occupants exited the vehicle and consented to a vehicle search.  During the search, the officer found marijuana, methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia. Lokey-Goodman was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1.

Driving While Intoxicated

 
Oct. 5 (1:27 a.m.) Xiomara Maribel Sanchez, 21, of Friendswood, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana in the 100 block of W. Edgewood Drive. Sanchez made a right on red without stopping. During the contact, Sanchez was crying uncontrollably and she exhibited signs of intoxication. She failed a field sobriety test.  During an inventory of the vehicle, the officer found marijuana and two THC cartridges.
 
Oct. 5 (7:29 p.m.) An off-duty police officer reported an intoxicated driver in the 700 block of W. Parkwood Avenue.  The off-duty officer was in a marked police vehicle. He conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle to fail to drive in a single lane and called Friendswood Police.  Javier Alexis Perez, 21, of Houston, was identified as the driver.  He exhibited signs of intoxication and did not have a Texas driver’s license. Perez exited the vehicle with a large bulge in his pocket.  His pocket was checked and contained marijuana, Ecstasy, and Xanax. Perez failed a field sobriety test.  The officer conducted a search of Perez’ vehicle and found a stolen gun and methamphetamine residue. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 3 and Unlawful Carrying Weapons.
 
Oct. 5 (11:24 p.m.) Tiara Louann Schrombeck, 36, of League City, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated in the 400 block of W. Parkwood Avenue. Schrombeck was stopped for failing to maintain a single lane and disregarding a red light.  She exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test.
 
Oct. 5 (11:39 p.m.) Blaine Ashton Baldwin, 29, of Friendswood, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-2^nd offense and Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 in the 100 block of Royal Court. Baldwin was stopped for expired registration. Baldwin exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test. Once in custody, the officer conducted an inventory of her vehicle prior to it being towed. During the inventory, the officer found a THC cartridge, an empty win bottle and Adderall.
 
Oct. 8 (5:21 p.m.) A disturbance inside a moving vehicle was reported on FM 528 entering Friendswood from Webster. The vehicle was located in the 800 block of W. Parkwood Avenue. Ann Marie Gonzales, 46, of Alvin, was identified as the driver.  She advised that she and her passenger were fighting.  The passenger was identified as Ronald Wayne Thetford, 57, of Manvel. Gonzales exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test. Thetford was charged with Public Intoxication.
 
Oct. 9 (1:06 a.m.) Mario Perez, Jr., 28, of Houston, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated in the 2300 block of W. Parkwood Avenue. Perez had an expired registration sticker and was speeding. His driver’s license was expired and he exhibited signs of intoxication. Perez failed a field sobriety test. His passenger was released to a sober driver.
 
Oct. 10 (3:25 a.m.) Cameron Wayne Ehrlich, 29, of Friendswood, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated in the 3000 block of W. Bay Area Blvd. Ehrlich was stopped for a license plate violation. He exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test.
 
Oct. 11 (3:52 p.m.) Matthew Alan Gonzales, 30, of Spring, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated in the 300 block of W. Edgewood Drive. Gonzales hit a parked car in a parking lot. When police arrived, Gonzales was still in his vehicle and proceeded to drive forwards towards the entrance of a day care center. Gonzales exhibited signs of intoxication including the smell of alcohol on his breath. He failed a field sobriety test. In addition to the arrest for DWI, Gonzales also received citations for No Driver’s License and No Insurance. The vehicle also had expired registration.

Juvenile Offenses

 
Vaping devices were confiscated from student at Friendswood High School on October 5^th and 6^th.  During the October 6^th incident, one of the vapes contained THC. Each student will face a municipal court judge after a summons is issued.

Public Intoxication

 
Oct. 8 (1:15 a.m.) Hector Garcia, Jr., 39, of Rosenberg, was charged with Public Intoxication. Garcia was involved in a verbal disturbance in the street in front of a residence in the 400 block of Bellmar Lane. He was intoxicated and a danger to himself and others.
 
Oct. 8 (7:36 a.m.) Patrick Weber Williams, 24, of Friendswood, was charged with Public Intoxication and Parking in a Fire Lane.  He was asleep inside his vehicle with the doors open in the parking lot of the Reserve at Autumn Creek Apartments located at 3102 W. Bay Area Blvd. Williams was intoxicated and taken into custody.
 
Oct. 10 (5:26 p.m.) John D. Maloy, 64, of Friendswood, was charged with Public Intoxication. A passerby requested police conducted a welfare check on a man on the bridge. Maloy was sitting in the construction zone on the bridge located in the 1300 block of S. Friendswood Drive. As the officer approached Maloy, he tried to walk away only to fall on the ground due to his high level of intoxication.

Weapons

 
Oct. 7 (1:13 a.m.) Daeshun Jerome Davis, 27, of Houston, was charged with Unlawful Carrying Weapons. Davis was observed passing police officers stopped on the side of the roadway with their emergency lights on. He did not slow down and did not vacate the nearest lane to the police officers.  He was paced at 58 mph in a 45 mph zone.  A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of E. Parkwood Avenue. Davis told the officer he was an Uber driver and had no knowledge of the law requiring him to vacate the lane or slow down when passing emergency vehicles stopped on the roadway. The officer detected the smell of marijuana and asked Davis if he had any contraband inside his vehicle.  He pointed to a marijuana cigarette he had in the driver’s side door. As Davis exited the vehicle, the officer observed a gun protruding from the door panel. The officer searched the vehicle, found marijuana in several different places inside the vehicle and took possession of the gun. The passenger was given a courtesy ride to his home.
 
Oct. 8 (10:38 p.m.) Aaron LaMart Johnson, Jr., 19, of Brazoria, was charged with Unlawful Carrying a Weapon. Johnson was stopped for speeding in the 200 block of E. Parkwood Avenue. During the contact, the officer detected the smell of marijuana and Johnson was holding a tobacco vape pen.  A search of the vehicle yielded a gun and marijuana. Johnson and his passenger, Madisyn Paige Siegel, 18, of Brazoria, were taken to jail.  At the jail, Siegel was found in possession of cocaine.  She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1.

Traffic

 
Oct. 4 (11:35 a.m.) Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 400 block of Christina Lane.  A person involved in the disturbance left the scene before officers arrived. An officer observed the vehicle and tried to block the vehicle at the intersection of Chelsea and N. Friendswood Drive.  However, the driver was able to maneuver around the police vehicle and led the officer on a pursuit into Pearland. The pursuit continued to Dixie Farm Road before being terminated.  Even though the pursuit was terminated, the driver hit another vehicle and fled that scene too.  A Friendswood officer located Kalan Tyler Carey, 26, of League City, on Dixie Woods Drive in Pearland.  He was taken into custody and charged with Evading Arrest.  His bond was set at $60,000.  Carey said he fled because he had two outstanding traffic warrants.
 
Oct. 9 (1:20 a.m.) Pierre Lavan Jefferson, 36, of Houston, was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention. He was driving a stolen vehicle in the 1500 block of FM 528. Jefferson stopped and the officers approached the vehicle. All of a sudden, Jefferson took off on the vehicle and led officers in a pursuit that entered Interstate 45 and ended when he lost control on Interstate 45, exited the vehicle and ran.  A Friendswood officer chased him until he surrendered. The vehicle was stolen from a Houston apartment complex on October 7^th.
 
Oct. 10 (11:28 p.m.) Yanelis Leyva Lopez, 45, of Webster, was charged with Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. An officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 2900 block of FM 528 for expired registration.  However, the vehicle failed to stop and continued driving at 60 to 65 mph in a 55 mph zone.  The officer initiated the siren and after more than a half mile, the driver stopped.  Several times, the driver was instructed to roll down the windows and turn off the vehicle but she did not comply.
